One of the lingering side effects of recovering from COVID is that your energy is sapped for months. In the process, your muscles atrophy, and you find yourself weak and without energy. It is a long process of recovering the strength and stamina you had before. As a Christian, you can find yourself without strength when it comes to spiritual battles. Paul tells you to be strong in the Lord.
EPHESIANS 6:10-11
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.”
A Daily Battle
Every disciple wages a daily battle against an unseen enemy. This enemy is deceptive in his ways, and his goal is to distract and derail your faith. You have to prepare yourself to battle this formidable foe with the proper weapons and in the right strength. This will enable you to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Equip yourself with the full armor of God.
Don’t Underestimate
People will tell you that in their love for Jesus and their hate for the devil, they are willing to storm the gates of hell with a squirt gun. While that is honorable, it is also naive and foolish. Do not underestimate your spiritual enemy. He prowls around like roaring lions seeking whom he can devour. You cannot match up with him with anything Jesus hasn’t given you. Be humble and let the Lord work through you.
Be Strong in the Lord
Be strong in the Lord. In Him, you have an unending source of strength that will fortify you to fight the battles that come your way. Please don’t use it as a backup to your willpower, and don’t retreat at the first sign of an attack. Stand firm in your faith. Seek His strength early in the morning when you first arise. Ask the Lord to equip you with armor that will withstand the fiery arrows Satan will fire at you.
