It takes faith to walk with Jesus. Walking by faith is the way that God chooses to bring about growth. It’s where we learn to trust him and where we find him faithful. Faith is an adventure when we step out to be used by God.
Hebrews 10:23, 38
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” “Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”
Hold Fast to Your Faith
The just shall live by faith. That means walking and trusting Christ when we don’t know what is going to happen. To “Hold fast” means not to give up or retreat but to stand firm. So much of our walk with Christ is to keep going forward. It’s important during those times of uncertainty that we don’t go back to what is comfortable and known but we press on to what God has for us. That isn’t easy, especially when others are looking to you for answers.
Not By Sight
We need to start by admitting that we don’t have all of the answers. Ask for Him to give you the faith to press on and fill you with His Spirit so that we can walk confidently. When you are filled with doubt don’t draw back, press in to seek His face. Faith is walking in trust not by what we can see. Give Him your whole heart and watch Him come through for you. He is faithful and will never stop being that way with us.
