Often, when you hear of someone dying, you will hear others say “Rest in Peace.” It is a way to express our remorse for losing someone. Usually, it is meant for someone who has gone through a long struggle and now they are free from that struggle, and they can finally rest in peace. Did you know that Jesus wants us to live in peace? When we receive him as our savior, he gives us his peace.
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful.

We can live in peace on a daily basis no matter what is swirling around us as long as the peace we have is from the Lord. The world is desperately searching for peace. For most people, it is quiet from all of the noise. For others, it is tranquillity or a state of being that is balanced. Peace from the Lord is so much different. It is something that permeates our soul, and we are content.
It Comes in Abundance
The great thing about living in peace is that we can take it anywhere we go. We don’t have to have a quiet place or a time of meditation; we can be at peace in the midst of chaos. How can that be? It is because Jesus’ peace comes from an eternal source. He gives us his peace in abundance and its free.
Remove the Fear
Don’t be paralyzed by fear. Live in peace that comes straight from Jesus. Received this peace by asking him for it and removing anything that might prevent it. When we walk in peace, it brings everything else into focus.
