Heal Me of My Doubt I Daily Walk Devotion

Do you suffer from worry and doubt? Does fear grip you? Would you like to be set free from those crippling feelings? Jeremiah shows us how to ask God to “Heal me of my doubt.” You can get rid of those burdens and walk in the freedom of the Holy Spirit by asking the Lord to heal you and changing your focus.

Jeremiah‬ ‭17:14

“Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for you are my praise.”

A Moment of Weakness

Jeremiah was considered a false prophet by the leaders of Israel. They thought because his dire predictions hadn’t come true that he wasn’t speaking for God. What they missed is that God’s delayed judgment was an opportunity for them to repent. This verse shows a moment of weakness on Jeremiah’s part, where he believes what they are saying and doubting that God is going to come through. Once he snaps to his senses, he asks the Lord for forgiveness and to be healed of his doubt. That’s a lesson we can all learn from.

Heal Me of My Doubt

Have you ever asked God to “Heal me of my doubt?” Maybe you don’t realize how often you doubt God and His Word? When we are gripped with fear, we need to be healed of our doubt. The stress of our current circumstances has overwhelmed us, and we have forgotten how big our God is. Ask God to save you and heal your unbelief.

Change Your Focus

Jeremiah says something interesting at the end of this verse. He says, “you are my praise.” Not only does God deserve all of his praise, but God is also responsible for every good thing happening in his life. Want to get out of the funk you are in? Take your eyes off of yourself and begin to praise the Lord. Tell Him how good He has been to you. Sing songs of worship. Let Him become your praise, and you will begin to rise out of the pit of doubt.
