Foxes Book of Martyrs tells the stories of men and women who died for their faith in Jesus Christ. These people were bold and stood up to those persecuting the church. They left a legacy that impacted generations to come. In the end times, people will be persecuted, but they will overcome it by the blood of Jesus and their testimony. Many will die for their faith, but many lives will be changed. Live the overcoming life.
Revelation 12:11
“They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; for they did not love their lives to the point of death.”
Cast Out of Heaven
In the end times, there will be a battle between Michael and the angels and Satan and his demons. It will take place in Heaven, and Satan will not only lose but be thrown out of Heaven. This will be the second time this has happened. When Satan (known as Lucifer, the angel of worship) tried to make himself equal with God, he was cast out of Heaven along with one-third of all the angels. He was still allowed to go before God and accuse the saints. In the tribulation, he will be cast out and never let back in.
Covered by the Blood
Those on earth during the tribulation will have to deal with Satan. He will persecute the saints, but they will be able to overcome him in two ways; the blood of the Lamb and their testimony. The blood of the Lamb is a way of saying that the salvation and sanctification of Jesus will protect them. The blood of Jesus is powerful, and even Satan cannot rip that away from us (Romans 8:37-39). If we are covered by it, we have nothing to fear, and even a wrathful demon has no power over us.
Live the Overcoming Life
Our testimony is an effective tool. A testimony is your story of how you gave your life to Christ and what He has done for you. Christians in the tribulation won’t have the option of being silent. There will be too much directed at them for them to fly under the radar. Their testimony will be used to declare their faith and share the Gospel. There is power in our testimony, and we can’t remain silent. Romans 10 tells us that that we are saved by believing in our hearts and confessing with our mouths that Jesus is Lord. It also tells us that no one will hear about Jesus unless they are told. When you share your story, it impacts people’s lives.
