Every bride wants the perfect wedding. Most girls, since they were little, have dreamed of their wedding ceremony. When it comes time for her to be married, she will work extremely hard on making that wedding day perfect. One day the perfect wedding will take place. It will happen between Jesus Christ and the church. He will come for his bride, and they will live together happily ever after for eternity.
Revelation 19:5,7
“Then a voice came from the throne, saying, “Praise our God, all you His servants and those who fear Him, both small and great!” “Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.”
Wedding Ceremony
A wedding ceremony is a special event in a person’s life. It is often one of the happiest days of a person’s life. Couples will spend months planning the most beautiful event. When a man and a woman come together in the bond of love God does something special. He adds His love to that bond and solidifies it. When each person lives unselfishly, that relationship will last the rest of their lives. Christian marriages are a model to the world of God’s unconditional love.
Jesus and the Church
The wedding ceremony is a symbol of the relationship between Jesus Christ and His church. We, as the church, are the Bride of Christ. After the tribulation, there will be an event called the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. This will be the final and eternal uniting of the church (the bride) to her groom Jesus Christ where we will be together for eternity. The love Jesus has for his bride is unequaled. He is working towards that day where we will be reunited. He longs to be with His bride. It will be the perfect wedding.
