Blessed are the excluded. The most prominent fear of most humans today is loneliness. To be excluded by those closest to us can cause irreparable damage to our emotions. We can also go to great lengths to appease people so that they won’t exclude us. Jesus said that if we follow him people would exclude us.
Luke 6:22
“Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man.”
He Has Overcome the World
One of the hardest things humans go through is being rejected. When we aren’t accepted by others, it affects us to our core. This is especially true when we are excluded and mistreated because of our faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus said that the world would reject us and persecute us because of our faith in Him. It’s just hard when it happens. He even encouraged us by telling us that He has overcome the world.
Love Those Who Exclude You
Don’t worry about being excluded. Love those who have excluded you, don’t judge them. Forgive them for any hurts they have done to you. Make sure to guard what comes out of your mouth, let it be a blessing. If someone has it out for you, let God handle it. Take a cue from the Apostles, who rejoiced, because they were considered worthy to be persecuted. Remember that God comforts and cares for those who are downcast. If you are suffering from being rejected or excluded because of your faith in Jesus Christ find hope that you are in his hands.
