God Fulfills His Purpose in You I Daily Walk Devotion

The most asked question that Christians want to know is, “What is God’s will for my life?” People want to know the direction their life is going to take. They want to know that their life has a purpose. Did you know that God fulfills His purpose in you by what you’re doing right now? Even if it isn’t what you imagined doing, Jesus is doing a work through you. Take a lesson from Joseph and allow God to have His way.

‭‭GENESIS‬ ‭41:40

“You shall be over my house, and according to your command all my people shall do homage; only in the throne I will be greater than you.”

Used for God’s Purposes

Joseph is one of the great characters of the Bible. You don’t hear about any sinful behavior except his youth immaturity when he told his brothers about his dreams. For that, he was chastised by his father, ostracized by his brothers, and sold into slavery. Even that was used for God’s purposes. Joseph was the favored son of his father and treated better than his brothers, but he was still taught a good work ethic. That served him well when he was a slave in Potiphar’s house, prison, and eventually as Prime Minister over Egypt. When he interpreted Pharoah’s dream, he became second in command. Everyone had to listen to his orders. Not bad for someone who was dealt a bad hand.

Going Thru Some Challenges?

Have you gone through some challenges that weren’t you’re fault? Were you born into poverty? Did you get passed over for a promotion or given a project that wasn’t desirable? If so, you can learn some valuable lessons from Joseph. He didn’t complain about his circumstances. He went to work, and God blessed his work no matter where he was. Even though He was wrongfully enslaved, God blessed Potiphar’s house because of him. He was wrongfully imprisoned, but he became the warden’s assistant. This all prepared him for his greatest challenge, leading Egypt through a famine, but he was faithful to what he was doing.

God Fulfills His Purpose in You

What you’re doing right now may be a step toward God’s ultimate goal for your life, but it is also a test of obedience and faithfulness for right now. What you’re doing may not be glamorous or considered a path to success, but God uses it for His purposes. You don’t know who God is blessing through your efforts. Remain faithful and watch as God fulfills his purpose in you.
