Have you ever gotten lost? The kind of lost where you have no clue where you are at and which way to go? Israel found themselves in this position but God knew where they were at. He never loses sight of us. He leads us back to Him and restores our lives. Call out to Him today.
Jeremiah 24:6-7
“For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will bring them back to this land; I will build them and not pull them down, and I will plant them and not pluck them up.Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the LORD; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.”
He Restores Us
Israel was a rebellious group. They turned their backs on God and chased after other idols. For this God sent them into captivity. God never took his eyes off of them. When their punishment was done God promised that he would take care of them. He would restore them to their land and plant them there. This should be an encouragement to anyone who has wandered away from God. God never takes his eyes off of us and is always trying to reconcile us with Him. He wants to return us to his fold and plant us so that we can grow.
Time to Turn Back
God does this through changing our heart. When we receive Jesus Christ as our personal savior he puts a new heart in us. That heart has the ability to know Him and to follow after him. We become a part of God’s family and experience the blessing that come with that. If you, or someone you know, has turned away from God there is still time to turn back. God is patient. Ask Him to forgive your sins and make your heart new.
