Very few things in life beat a good sunset. The combination of the colors and the shadows of the mountain ranges can explode right before your eyes. You can sit there and drink it in until it disappears. It reminds us of God’s craftsmanship. Did you know that He wants you to keep your eye on the horizon? One day His Son Jesus will return and he wants us to keep watch.
Acts 17:30-31

It seems you have two camps of people, those who always think of the end of the world and those who don’t. If you believe in Jesus, then you can’t get away from the fact that one day all of us will stand before him and give an account of how we lived our life. It should affect how we live our lives on a daily basis.
On a Journey to Heaven
The only way to heaven is through a relationship with Jesus. There are no other roads. We start our relationship with Jesus by repenting of our sin. That means we recognize that we are a sinner in need of Jesus’ grace and we ask for forgiveness of those sins. When that happens, a whole new world is opened to us. We are new creations in God’s eyes. The old life is gone, and we are transformed. Now we are on a journey to heaven.
What Do You Have to Show?
How we live our life from the point of salvation matters, the life with Christ in it has expectations and requirements. We are to be obedient to God’s Word. How we keep those standards is what we will be judged on when we stand before Jesus. Like the parable of the talents, we are expected to do something with the gifts that we’ve been given, and one day the master will ask us what we have done with them. Live your life in such a way that when you stand before Jesus, you will be proud of what you have done. Keep your eye on the horizon and watch for Jesus’ return.
