Living the Fruitful Life I Daily Walk Devotion

Do you believe that Jesus can change people? I mean those types of people you move to the other side of the road to avoid because they are dangerous. God can take the hardest heart and transform it into a new work. He is the Almighty God. Nothing is too big. He wants to do a work in your life as well. He desires to see you living a fruitful life.

‭‭GENESIS‬ ‭35:11‬

“God also said to him, “I am God Almighty; Be fruitful and multiply; A nation and a company of nations shall come from you, And kings shall come forth from you.”

Changed to a Prince

Right after Jacob wrestled with the Lord and had his name changed, God spoke over him that “A nation and a company of nations shall come from you.” This was referring to the nation of Israel and some other small ones that would fragment off. The twelve tribes would be named after his twelve sons. God was going to bless Jacob by making fruitful and multiplying his offspring. This was being done to a person whose name means “scoundrel.” He changed a scoundrel to a prince when he changed his name to Israel.

Time to Move On?

Christians spend a lot of time wrestling with God over who will get their way, and they never get around to being fruitful. Jacob moved on, and nations and kings were born out of him. Is the Holy Spirit telling you to move and let the seeds of God’s Word be sown? Surrender to His plans and watch over time as they unfold.

Living a Fruitful Life

Living a fruitful life is what every disciple should desire. When fruit is being produced, it means that there is growth happening. That growth is the result of filling your heart and mind with God’s Word and following the leading of the Holy Spirit. That fruit blesses other lives as well as yours. People benefit from the increasing love in your heart, and they see gentleness replace impatience and anger. That only increase the joy you will feel.
