Slaying the Giants in your life
Are you facing insurmountable odds in your life right now? Maybe it is a health issue, a financial burden, or an irreparable relationship? You don’t see an answer to the problem or a way out. God wants you to know He is much bigger than your giant. He may not provide a quick answer but He wants us to know that He IS the answer.
1 Samuel 17:43-45
“So the Philistine said to David, “ Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks?” And the Philistine cursed David by his gods… Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.”
Stepping Up
David was just a young man when he encountered Goliath. He was much younger than the rest of the army but his trust in God was years beyond anyone there. Some might try to explain it away with youthful exuberance but David had seen God work in his life and he trusted God to do it again. David stepped up in the name of the Lord and allowed God to use him to slay the giant.
Be Faithful
Whatever giant or mountain you are facing today know that God is going to go with you as you face it. How God chooses to slay it is up to Him. It may be sudden, like with David, or it may be subtle. Whatever way He chooses to be faithful through the process. He is in the business of slaying Giants and no weapon fashioned against us can prosper. Just trust Him and watch him work.
