Every Valentine’s day, flowers and chocolates are exchanged to symbolize a person’s love for another. They may do something romantic like going to dinner or taking a sunset walk. The gestures are usually heartfelt, but people go back to the way things were the next day. You can live with the assurance that you are loved every day. Jesus is the source of true love.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
Well Known
By far, this is the most famous verse in the Bible. More people know this verse than any other, which is a good thing because it is the Gospel wrapped up in a neat package. God so loved the world. That love was before we loved Him. It was there before He created the heavens and the earth. That love propelled Him to fix man’s greatest problem. God the Father sent His only Son to pay the price for your sin. He willingly gave up what was most precious to reconcile man.
If You Believe
Jesus tells us that if we believe in Him, we will not perish but have eternal life. What do you need to believe? You need to believe that He is the Son of God, that He who was God lowered Himself and became like us. You also need to believe that Jesus came to die for your sins. That He was hung on the cross, and all of the sins of man were placed upon Him so that forgiveness cold be extended to you.
The Source of True Love
When you believe in who Jesus is, you are filled with the love of God. Romans 5:5 tells us that that Spirit fills your heart with the love of God. This love is more than feeling. You can be sure of this love because while you were still a sinner, God loved you and sent His Son to die for you. God’s unconditional love is a gift to you if you believe in the source of true love, Jesus.
