True Life Comes Through Christ I Daily Walk Devotion

All men are born, but not everyone lives. Many wander through life hopeless and lost. True life comes through Jesus Christ and his death and resurrection. We are made alive spiritually by his victory over death. That life only gets better in eternity when death is destroyed, and peace is returned to earth. Until then we faithfully follow Jesus putting our hope in him. Are you alive today?

1 Corinthians 15:20-28

But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. 24 Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27 For “God has put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when it says, “all things are put in subjection,” it is plain that he is excepted who put all things in subjection under him. 28 When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that God may be all in all.

Death came through Adam. That means before the first sin God intended for us to live with Him forever. When the first sin entered the world death came as a result of it. Through Christ’s resurrection, those who have put their faith in Jesus, have been made alive. Death no longer has dominion over us. We have been set free from the bondage of sin and will live forever. For those who don’t trust in Jesus, death is their ultimate destiny. Death is more than just dying. It is an eternity away from the loving presence of Jesus Christ. Matthew 8:12 say there will be “weeping and gnashing go teeth.”

Jesus will return one day and establish His rule. He will crush every enemy and return the Kingdom to its rightful place, with His Father. He will rule the earth for a thousand years in peace. Isaiah says it will be so peaceful that a baby will be able to reach into a viper nest and play with the snakes. That’s pretty amazing if you think about it. You can be “made alive” by Christ. All it takes is you repenting of your sins, believing that He is the Son of God, and receiving his salvation. Do it today.
