People can get really creative in the tattoos they put on their bodies. I’ve seen some interesting tributes to lost loved ones and some hilarious declarations of love to romances in the past. As a Christian, we are to have the Word of God written on our hearts. It is a sign that we are His people and He is our God
Jeremiah 31:33
Instead, this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days” — the Lord’s declaration. “I will put my teaching within them and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.”
Keep Looking Up
God looks at our lives from a long term perspective. He is aware of what is going on right now and knows what is happened in your path, but His ultimate goal is to conform you into the image of His Son Jesus Christ. Judah was heading into captivity in Babylon, and God spoke through Jeremiah to tell them that He would remake when they came back from it. He would put His teaching in their hearts, and He would be their God.
Embrace the Process
It’s easy to get consumed with our current circumstances and miss the big picture. Our trials are only temporary. We can be set free from bondage and walk in the light of His love. Your current struggle is part of the transformation that God is doing in you. Embrace the process and get as much out of it as possible. He who began a good work in you will complete it to the end of your days (Phil 1:6).
Written on Our Hearts
Is God’s Word written on your heart? Are you a child of God? Part of being the people of God is that we have His Word deeply embedded into our DNA. When Scripture is stored in our hearts, it is more likely to come out when we respond to circumstances. The Holy Spirit is there to guide you in the ways of the Lord. Follow His leading.
