A Jewel in God's Hand I Daily Walk Devotion

The largest diamond in the world was discovered in 1905 in South Africa. The Cullinan Diamond weighed over 600 grams, which is the equivalent of 3106 carats. It was eventually given to the King of England who had it cut into two large diamonds and 103 smaller diamonds with the two larger ones being put in the royal crown. Those gems pale in comparison to the glorious crown that God holds in His hand. You are a jewel in God’s Hand.

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭62:3

“You will be a glorious crown in the Lord’s hand, and a royal diadem in the palm of your God’s hand.”

Precious in His Sight

As Isaiah winds down his prophetic book, he ends with some encouragement. Israel has heard of its coming judgment and how God will rescue them from its captivity. God also wants Israel to know how precious they are to Him. To Him, they are a glorious crown and a royal diadem in His hand. He cares for them deeply and wants the best for them. Did you know you are a jewel in God’s hand? You, too, are precious in His sight, and He genuinely cares for you.

Produced Under Pressure

What most people don’t understand is that most precious stones are a product of intense pressure. A pearl is a result of a grain of sand getting into an Oyster. It coats the sand over and over to relieve the irritation that the sand causes. After a considerable amount of time, the result is a precious stone that is both beautiful and valuable. We become a precious gem through life’s pressure. Allow the process to take its course.

A Jewel in God’s Hand

No matter what hurtful words people say to you, you are a jewel in God’s hand. He looks at you with affection and wants nothing more than to be close to you. Stop comparing yourself to others or allowing their judgment of you to determine your opinion of yourself — stand firm in the truth that you are precious in His sight.
