One day the heavens will open up, the trumpets will sound, and Jesus will descend on a cloud to gather up those who are his. Christ is returning. He will rapture the church and then after seven years of tribulation will come and reign on earth for one thousand years. As a Christian, we should be longing for this day to come. No One Knows
There is a lot written about the second coming of Jesus Christ. Many experts have wrongly predicted when He would return. Jesus said several times only His Father knew when that time would be. One thing we do know is that when Jesus comes back it will be quickly. We will be going about our business and all of sudden the trumpets of heaven will sound and we will see the resurrected Christ returning on the clouds. While there are signs all around us that He is returning we don’t know the moment. We need to be prepared for it to happen at any moment while at the same time prepared for the long haul.
Blessed Are Those Who Study
With that being said it is important that we study end times prophecy. Why should we if we don’t know when? Revelation tells us twice, once at the beginning and once here at the end, that those who study it will be blessed. John even tells us that if we keep the words of this book we will be blessed. We need to avoid sin and being “of this world” and we need to point our heart towards Him. We should devour His word on a daily basis and then go out and live what it tells us to do. Christ is returning. Are you ready for Him?
