Perpetual Fruit I Daily Walk Devotion

Perpetual Fruit

God wants perpetual fruit growing in our life. When we are in the presence of Jesus we will see life never witnessed before. God will be on his throne and water will flow from under his throne. This water will create a wonderful life. It will heal that which was broken and it will produce fruit in season and out of season. When we have rivers of living water flowing out of us the same thing happens in our life. Perpetual fruit will grow from it.

Ezekiel 47:12

“Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.”

The Source of Life

This section of Ezekiel is a picture of ends times. It is what heaven is going to look like when we get there. God will be on the throne and water will flow from out of the temple, and it will cause trees on the banks of the river to produce fruit on a continual basis. No more waiting for the season to produce. Every day you will be able to walk up and grab some fruit.

Important Roots

So much in the Bible about fruitfulness. God wants us to be fruitful and multiply. He doesn’t leave it up to us though; he gives us the necessary goods to bring about growth, gives us his Spirit, and gives us His word.  All of these play a part in bringing about fruit. If the branch is barren, then He raises it up so it can get more of the Son. It is close to impossible to have the Spirit, the Word, and the Church as a constant source of input in our lives and not see fruit. If you are barren today ask the Lord to lift you up so that the Son will shine on you.
