The Alpha and Omega I Daily Walk Devotion

Times are getting scary. If you follow the news, you can’t help but be worried about what the future holds. Christians shouldn’t be swayed by what is happening because of who we serve. The Apostle John uses a term to describe Jesus, the Alpha and Omega. The beginning and the end. If Jesus is the beginning and the end, then He has everything under control in between.

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭1:8

I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.

The Beginning and the End

Alpha and Omega means the beginning and the end. God was there at the dawn of time, and He will be there at the end. This should encourage you as a believer because you have never been alone, and God is right there beside you. He is the one who “was” and is to come, the Almighty God. That is the God you serve. You have nothing to fear because He has everything under control. Victory is assured.

Promise for the Future

The book of Revelation gives us promises for our future and God dealing with the sin and wickedness of this world. As a follower of Jesus, there is nothing in this book that you need to fear. Will the judgment be harsh? Yes, but only for those who have rejected Jesus. Will the saints be protected? Yes, I believe in what they call the rapture, where Jesus will come for His church before the tribulation starts. Then we will rule and reign with Jesus as His bride, the church.

The Alpha and Omega

There is no need to worry about what is going on in the world today or what the future holds because the Alpha and Omega is in charge. God has foreordained the events of time, and everything happening is preparing for the return of HIs Son, Jesus Christ. On that day, the church will rejoice and be transformed in the blink of an eye. There will be no more pain or sorrow, just the joy and peace of being permanently in the presence of Jesus Christ.
