Renew Your Strength I Daily Walk Devotion

Many people lack the strength to make it through the day. Scientists have researched for years what makes the body tick. They have looked at diet, exercise, and sleep to see how a person can best optimize their performance in areas like sports, work, and everyday life. Methods are always changing, but you need a balance of all three to wake up refreshed and ready for the day. As a Christian, you can renew your strength by trusting in the Lord.

Isaiah‬ ‭40:31

but those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not become weary, they will walk and not faint.

Trust in the Lord

There are times when we don’t have anything in the tank to go on. Everywhere we look, it’s depressing. Where are we going to find the strength to go on? Isaiah gives us the answer. Those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength. Other translations use the word “wait” instead of trust. Both mean the same thing. When we wait for the Lord to work, it will reenergize us. Are you leaning on your own power? Stop, and watch as the Lord does what He needs to do.

On Wings of Eagles

Isaiah gives us three pictures of strength. First is soaring on wings of eagles. This shows us that God’s strength helps us to rise above all of our problems. When we wait on the Lord, He lifts us up. Second, we will be able to run and not get weary. This shows us that we can go after what God puts on our heart as long as we do it under his power. Finally, we won’t faint, we walk. Our walk is our daily life. When we trust in the Lord, we won’t faint but will be able to keep on walking.
