Do you ever wish you had irresistible wisdom? To be able to speak words that people listened to? Have you ever wanted to be able to discuss your beliefs but can’t come up with the words? Has someone ever argued with you about your faith and you couldn’t come up with anything to defend yourself? If you are a person, who has a hard time responding to people it can be challenging to share your faith. These are common feelings among many Christians today. In the last days, we won’t have to worry about coming up with the words because the Holy Spirit will give them to us.
Luke 21:14-15
But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.
He Gives Us the Words
In the end times, there will be great persecution of the church. It will happen because the darkness of this world hates the light of Jesus Christ. It will be so severe that our own families will oppose us and we will be dragged off to jail. Jesus tells us not to worry about how we will defend ourselves; He will give us the words. The words will be so powerful that our adversaries that our enemies will not be able to resist or contradict them.

Thinking about difficulties like this make us uncomfortable but it is an essential reminder of what will happen before Jesus returns. The Devil prowls around like a lion looking for whom he can devour. It is easy to see that this is already happening. Look at the headline news. Churches are being set on fire, people are being executed because they left their former faith to follow Jesus, and governments are writing laws where telling people about Jesus is Hate Speech.
