Never Forsaken I Daily Walk Devotion

One of the most painful things to deal with is when someone turns on you. You thought they were a friend and when you needed them they turned against you. Getting over pain like that can take some time. Some people never recover. Fortunately, one of the greatest promises in scripture is “God will never leave you nor forsake you.” Yor are never forsaken by God.

Deuteronomy 31:3-6

The Lord your God himself will go over before you. He will destroy these nations before you, so that you shall dispossess them, and Joshua will go over at your head, as the Lord has spoken. And the Lord will give them over to you, and you shall do to them according to the whole commandment that I have commanded you. Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

Nervous Moment

The transition to the promised land is about to happen. Moses is handing the leadership over to Joshua. It is expected that the Israelites would be nervous about it. They were worried that God would leave them once Moses was gone too. God reassures them that he will not forsake them.

Stand on His Promises

We are never forsaken by God. He is always there with us and has our best interests in mind. We may think we are alone, but He is there. The reality is that we have tried to do things on our own and haven’t consulted God. Daily devotions are essential to the believer’s life. It reminds us of God’s promises and his presence.

Never Forsaken

Do you know that Jesus is always with you? This promise in Deuteronomy is repeated several times in the Bible, and we need to be reminded. So many times when we feel alone, He is right beside us. As we walk the path of life, He is in step with us the whole way. He goes with you. This needs to be a source of strength and courage for us. Even better is that we can call on Him anytime we want. Are we struggling with understanding? Ask Him. Battling bitterness? Cast it on Him. Hurt and feeling deserted? Call out to Him. When it seems like the world is crashing around you, He is there as our strength and courage.
